About mDoc

mDoc is digital health start up which leverages behavioral science, data, technology and quality improvement methodologies to improve access to quality healthcare for people with chronic health needs in sub-Saharan Africa. We are seeking a Communications Associate to join our team. Our ethos is etched in the belief that augmenting the healthcare & technology landscape is paramount to helping Africa unlock its true potential. We are on a mission to transform how African healthcare consumers receive the support they need to live longer, healthier, happier and more productive lives. In close partnership with community-based organizations, government, NGOs and leading commercial partners, we are augmenting the health system to focus on what matters to our members in their communities. We are building an enabling community-based ecosystem to better help people with self-management of their chronic conditions and other health needs while helping them navigate quality in-person healthcare when face-to-face care is needed. We focus on personalized care. Over the next few months, we will grow rapidly with key projects requiring a deep focus and the discipline, rigor and humility to test alongside our customers, iterate and ultimately scale quickly. Evidence curation and dissemination is a core value and we are looking for someone to help us with dissemination and customer engagement.

The position:

Customer engagement is key to driving impact and you will work closely with end-users, designers, clinical and care teams and developers to create messaging that is meaningful to our internal and external customers. You will leverage multiple social channels to reach our various audiences to communicate our messaging and will be responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of the messaging and the channels.

You will be expected to gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth. You will also be expected to create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

You will develop and evaluate promotional plans for product launches to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed, using user-centred design principles. Given we have several external events, you will work closely with the team and participate in these events to capture the work, understand our different audience segments and optimize our messaging.

We are looking only for people who are willing to work in a startup environment, (which sometimes means you'll have work round the clock, be agile and efficient) are receptive and willing to adapt to rapid change and are not afraid to have a voice. This position can be remote.
